Alain Johannes purchased the first BelAire (#10) after spotting it hanging on the drying rack at our first shop on Venice Blvd in Los Angeles.

Alain's guitar is a great example of the BelAire base model.

The first LeMans was built for Dimitri Coats (#18). Dimitri is the front force behind Burning Brides. Dimitri was known for playing Univox highflyers before his move to MotorAve. Mark did not want him to lose the springy quality of the univox tremelo- so he created the SoftStop tailpiece to simulate the effect, without sacrificing tuning stability. Dimitri also owns a second LeMans in black (#21).

Linda Perry is a well known singer/song writer/producer and she was also the very first person to buy a MotorAve Guitar.

Linda's guitar (#3) is a Trophy Blue FastBack, with a reverse headstock (4x2), and two Tom Holmes Humbuckers.

The fastback is no longer in production, but we consider it the esteemed ancestor of the LeMans.

Josh Homme (QOTSA) ordered his BelAire after seeing Alain Johannes' #10. Josh did not want a tremelo so Mark adapted a string through tailpiece he had designed for a prototype to meet Josh's needs. The result is a bigger sound with more overtones than a standard stop tail piece.

Brian Murphy (currenty with Pistol For Ringo) is a Honolulu based guitar player. He owns three LeMans guitars ( #19, #20 & #33).

Before Victor Rocha (Pechanga.net) became a valuable resource for the native peoples of North America and active member of the Pechanga Band of Luiseno Indians from Temecula CA... he spent many hard earned years in the music business. He is the proud owner of two MotorAve Guitars: #12 BelAire & #26 LeMans. He is currently awaiting the arrival of the first BelAire 12-String (#34).

Rob Westerman is a singer/songwriter whose work has been featured in television, film, and a video game. He's currently working on the debut from Blackbird Symphonique, and is the owner of two MotorAve Guitars: #23 BelAire and #29 LeMans. His second BelAire (#36) is in production.
